Commercial printing, packaging and specialist finishing.

Xpress Solutions is a family-run print house in Colombo. Offset printing, lamination, die cutting, foiling and Spot UV are handled by the same team, so a job is printed and finished as one piece of work rather than passed between suppliers.

Not sure what to ask for? Build a brief in five questions and we take it from there.

Finishing

What finishing actually changes

Two jobs printed from the same file can look nothing alike once they are finished. Lamination decides how the surface behaves in the hand; foil and Spot UV decide where the eye lands. Deciding early is cheaper than adding it later, because the artwork and the sheet layout have to allow for it.

Why Xpress Solutions

What working with us looks like

  1. 01

One team from plate to finished job

Printing and finishing are handled by the same team rather than bought in, so a job does not sit in a queue at an outside supplier, and there is one place to call when it needs checking.

  2. 02

    Specification help before you commit

Tell us the product, the quantity and what it has to do. We come back with the stock, print method and finish that fit — including when a cheaper route would do the same job.

  3. 03

    Artwork handled in-house

We have graphic designers on site, so files that are not production-ready can be set up or corrected here instead of going back and forth.

  4. 04

    Individuals through to large organisations

We print for individuals, small businesses, government bodies and large companies. The process is the same; the quantity is what changes.

How a job runs

From brief to finished work

The same five stages apply whether you are ordering 200 business cards or a run of printed cartons.

  1. 01

    Brief

Tell us what you are producing — the product, size, quantity and the date you need it by.

  2. 02

    Specification

We confirm stock, print method and finishing, then quote against that specification.

  3. 03

    Artwork

Send production-ready files, or we prepare and correct the artwork here.

  4. 04

    Production

Plates and printing, followed by lamination, die cutting, foiling or Spot UV as specified.

  5. 05

    Completion

The job is checked against the specification and made ready for hand-over. Tell us at the brief stage how you would like to receive it.

Also

We import printing machinery and supplies

Alongside the print house we import reconditioned machinery — cylinder presses, guillotines, die cutting and foiling machines — together with paper and consumables. The two sides inform each other: the machines we sell are the classes of machine we run, and the paper we bring in is paper we print on ourselves.

Machinery & supplies
  • Cylinder presses, including Heidelberg cylinders
  • Paper cutting machines and guillotines
  • Die cutting and foiling machines
  • Paper, board and printing consumables

Planning a print job?

Send the product, quantity, size and finish you have in mind and we will price it. If the specification is not settled yet, describe what you are producing and we will work back to the stock, print method and finishing that suit it.
